Texas teen Miya Garcia is going the extra distance for a meeting withDrake.
On a billboard situated on I-10 in the Lone Star State’s Jacinto City area, Miya and mom Sonia Ramirez posted an invitation for the rapper to come Miya’s 16th birthday party in December.
“Drake, you’re invited to my Sweet Sixteen,” read the flashing billboard, perKHOU, alongside an image of Miya on the left side and a photo of Drake on the opposite side. The invite — which also includes Ramirez’s TikTok and Instagram usernames — is signed as being from “your biggest fan.”
“She wanted to invite her absolute favorite person to her Sweet 16,” Ramirez tells PEOPLE on Friday, sharing that her daughter came up with the idea after hearing that the rapper had purchased a home in the area, something he mentioned during a concert last month.“She asked if we can get a billboard since he is now a Houston resident and he could possibly see the invite," adds Ramirez. “She is such a positive girl and has hope that he will reach out soon.”

Drake, who has made his love for Houston clear in the past, recently said during a concert that he plans to set down roots there.“Let me tell you something,” the rapper said during a Houston concert stop in September, perHouston Public Media. “I’m excited I get to share this with night two. I had to make it official first, but I’ve been looking for a long time, trying to figure out, you know, the right place for me to live, where I belong outside of Toronto.

“And I finally, finally after all these years, found me a place in Houston, Texas, so y’all will be seeing me a lot,” he added.
In an interview with theHouston Chronicle, Miya said that she wasn’t initially sure if the idea for the billboard would happen — but her mom came through.
“I was really surprised,” Miya said. “I really loved it.”
Although her 16th birthday will be special no matter what, it’s safe to say that if Drake ends up attending, it’ll be a memory she cherishes forever.
“It would be the best day ever,” Miya told theChronicle.“I hope Drake sees it.”
