Shay Mooney’sthree biggest cheerleaders are watching him from back home.
The singer, who is one half of the band Dan + Shay, is joiningThe Voicethis season with musical partner Dan Smyers. And while he’s off taping the show, he has three fans waiting for him back in Nashville — his sons Ames Alexander, 4, Asher James, 7, and Abram Shay, 13 months.

“But the older one, Asher, he just turned 7, and Ames now, my middle child, he turned 4 and he kind of knows what’s going on now, being able to watch us when we’re onThe Voice. And when that premieres they’ll definitely be watching.”
“And maybe it’ll give them a little street cred at school,” the dad of three jokes. “Maybe not. We’ll see how it goes.”
Noting that his sons might even be Reba McEntire fans instead, the country musician says it’s a very exciting time for his family.
“I feel like for the boys to be able to watch us, it’s probably a good reason to watch what I say and make sure I’m doing a good job out there because they’ll definitely be the most critical out of everybody. Like, ‘Dad, you shouldn’t have said that.'”
Mooney shares his three sons with wife Hannah.
Last January, the couplewelcomed their third son together. Son Abram Shay Mooney was born on Tuesday, Jan. 17, the Grammy winner announced on Instagram along with a video of him singing to the newborn.
“Grateful doesn’t begin to cover it ❤️,” the father of three wrote.
