Osaka also shares her hopes for her daughter as she grows up, noting, “I want her to be a kind person, someone that radiates positivity and joy,”

“I want her growing up knowing she’s loved and appreciated and I think that that’s all that I can do. Feeling the love from my parents as a kid was something that was important,” she shared. “I know how much my mom loves me and my dad, so it’s something that no one can take away and it’s something that I still appreciate to this day.”

The two also talked about finding community as new parents during a time that can feel very “isolating.”

“I definitely felt very lonely during pregnancy a little bit and the stage when she first got back from the hospital,” she said, saying she gets emotional support from her friends and family.

“Just learning through these relationships and learning how to communicate, I think my friends have helped me out a lot with that.”
