The 10-episode series will see de Pablo, 44, and Weatherly, 55, on screen together for the first time in a decade.

De Pablo joined in season 3, and starred onNCISuntil her character appeared to be killed off in season 13.

The storyline picks up after David’s “supposed death,” the official synopsis states.

“Tony left theNCISteam to go raise their daughter. Years later, Ziva was discovered alive, leading her to complete one final mission with NCIS before she was reunited with Tony and their daughter in Paris,” the synopsis continues.

“Since then – and where we find them in the new Paramount+ original series – Tony and Ziva have been raising their daughter, Tali, together. When Tony’s security company is attacked, they must go on the run across Europe, try to figure out who is after them and maybe even learn to trust each other again so that they can finally have their unconventional happily ever after.”

Both actors will serve as executive producers on the untitled project, alongside John McNamara.

Before Weatherly’sexit in 2016, he spoke positively about his character with reporters. “I spent a lot of hours with himand we’ll see if I miss him after a while, but I think I will. I liked him. He had a really great puppyish sense of fun and adventure and optimism," he said.

McNamara, who also serves as a showrunner for the new series, added that he is “incredibly excited to step into theNCISuniverse with Cote and Michael.”

Referring to theNCISfranchise as a “global sensation,” the executive producer said it’s “phenomenal” that “CBS Studios and Paramount+ have given us the greenlight to shoot in Europe.”

He quipped that if he divulged the details of the show’s title, he would “be violating the Espionage Act.”
