A man was shocked to see footage of himself sleeping in his underwear shared onTikTokwithout prior knowledge of the video ever being taken.
The man revealed on Reddit’s“Am I the A——” forumthat his dorm roommate, whom he considers a friend, shot the clip of him in his bed.
“I got mad at him and told him to delete it, which he did, but he didn’t understand why I cared so much,” the man recalled, explaining that the footage of himself sleeping in bed was part of a “morning routine” video, in which his roommate told viewers, “ ‘My roommate is still sleeping.’ ”
“He says I’m overreacting and it’s not a big deal, but I don’t see how it would ever be seen as normal to record and post someone in just undies,” the man pondered, adding that his friend “posts photos of himself in underwear [on TikTok] all the time for fitness reasons.”

Wondering if he overreacted, he asked Redditors, “AITA [am I the a——] for yelling at my roommate for posting a video of me in just my underwear?”
His Feb. 5 Reddit post attracted nearly 200 responses within 24 hours, with almost everyone siding with him and telling him he’s “NTA [not the a——].”
“NTA. F that dude. Total violation of privacy and creepy AF,” one person commented. “I’d think about finding a new roommate.”
“People who cross simple, common sense boundaries like this are walking red flags,” another Redditor replied, while a third wrote, “No one has the right to film you in vulnerable situations without your permission.”
The OP’s repeated note confused some readers, with one person writing, “You’ve made this excuse repeatedly in this thread, which makes me question why you’re even posting in this sub. You’re actually the friend/roommate who took the video and uploaded it, aren’t you?”
