Hayden Panettiereis paying tribute to her late brother Jansen.

On Monday, the actress, 34, posted atouching messageon Instagram in memory of her sibling as she marked the first anniversary of hisdeath.

“Today is the 1 year anniversary of my little brother’s passing. Know that I keep him in my heart, keep his things close,” she wrote in the caption. “His AMAZING paintings are what I see when I wake up and when I go to sleep.”

“Rest in peace my brother. One day we’ll meet again. 🙏❤️,” theScream VIstar concluded.

Beside her tribute message, Hayden shared a photo of herself and Jansen stroking a dog as the pair sat on a beach while wearing wetsuits.

Jansen was found dead in New York last February at the age of 28. In astatement to PEOPLEshortly after, Hayden and Jansen’s mother Lesley Vogel and father Alan Lee “Skip” Panettiere confirmed that he died from aortic valve complications and an enlarged heart.

Hayden’s latest tribute to her brother Jansen comes after she celebrated what would have beenhis 29th birthdayin September.

At the time, the actress posted an emotional message onInstagramas she shared a throwback photo of herself and her brother as young children opening presents at Christmas.

“Happy Birthday little brother,” Hayden wrote in the caption. “I miss you everyday. I’ll love you forever❤️ ."

The statement concluded, “We sincerely appreciate the outpouring of love and support towards our family as we navigate this unthinkable loss, and ask that we be gifted our privacy during this time of mourning. We love you so much Jansen and you will be in our hearts forever.”
