While awesome to look at , this event has been trace as a meteorite , which is incorrect . A meteorite is a fragment of a space rock ‘n’ roll that has touched the solid ground . If it does n’t run into the ground and burns up in the standard atmosphere it ’s a meteor . Or if it ’s very bright , like in this case , a fireball . Meteors and fireballsdon’t always create meteorite , and sometimes they are not even quad rock candy , but space rubble ; pieces of rockets and satellitesleft by human race in place .

Another perplexing thing is some dweller of Ciudad Victoria , the capital of the state of Tamaulipas , have claimed that meteoritesfrom the fireball set fire to bushes in the expanse around 11 pm , which is significantly afterwards than the official watching .

If this is proven to be true it would be anincredibly rarified incident .

Meteorites , counterintuitively , are very cold . These space rocks have expend eons in the cold of space before flying through the atmosphere for a handful of seconds .
