Fear The Mole Man Trailer — And Robert Englund’s Cameo!

We ’re suckers for a good horror - comedy , and the The Moleman of Belmont Avenue has the natural endowment and the comedy stemma to be our potential new favorite . Plus , do n’t we all have a Mole Man , of some sort , in our basements ?

Twitch Film spotted the new trailer for the lineament Mole Men , brought to us by a pair of Second City writers and worker , Mike Bradecich and Mike LaFlamboy . It was made on a shoe - string budget , but we reckon that only adds to the over - all flavor of this horror - comedy .

Here ’s the official , and very fun , synopsis :

Marion and Jarmon Mugg have never had to work very heavily . They ’ve never had much responsibility , and no one has ever put any expectations on them to execute or achieve , well … anything .

But two years ago their mother died , leave behind them the brownstone apartment construction that has been in the menage since its days as a speakeasy during proscription . In that little sentence , their slacker manner have carry the building into the reason . The tenants are moving out , no one but them and their friends drinks at the bar on the reason floor , and the construction ’s pets are move miss . If all that is n’t enough to make them sit up and take notice , there ’s also a safe chance that a monster is living in the basement .

“ The Mole Man of Belmont Avenue ” is a horror/ drollery that explores what happens when a terrible situation is dropped into the lap of the two people least equip to deal with it . The Brothers Mugg can either tread up to the home and finally grow up , or they can waitress and clean up the mess as a mystifying creature eats every inhabit affair in the building , one by one .
