This summertime , Nokia , Samsung , Silcon Image , Sony and Toshiba have set aside differences to team up up and create the most awing wandering HD plug known to man . It ’s like the lagger for a really lame activity movie .
The five fellowship have formed the MHL ( Mobile High - Definition Link ) Consortium with the interest of build a 1080P - able interface / plug that ’s superior to mini HDMI as it will :
• Have less pins ( be smaller )
• Support HDCP content ( which opens the door to imitate protect movies / idiot box )
• Supply power to the equipment ( like USB )
And it all fathom neat until you realize , if these companies all teamed up to move the USB 3.0 banner forward , we would n’t require to discuss yet another newfangled eccentric of hoopla . Then again , I ’m felicitous to keep any talks of HDCP aside from my USB .
