On social media , legion law enforcement departments go forth alerts notifying citizens that they’relooking intobomb threat target business sector , school , government offices and even private residents . It appears the threats are being send by e-mail .

NBC Newsquoted the NYPD ’s Counterterrorism Bureau ’s abbreviated instruction on the probe :
We are currently monitoring multiple bomb threats that have been air electronically to various locating throughout the urban center . These terror are also being reported to other locations nationally and are not consider believable at this time .
NBC News say “ dozens ” of threats had been reported , but the full extent of these menace is not yet open . A number of news organizations and law of nature enforcement agency account remarkablysimilarsounding electronic mail mentioning a bitcoin ransom money of $ 20,000 . And someTwitterusershavesharedemails they ’ve receive call for the cryptocurrency and warn that an explosion would only encourage others to bear up .

Gizmodo has partake a copy of the electronic mail that ’s being circulating online with the NYPD and call for if the section could confirm that it is the same threat that others have incur in their inbox . We did not obtain an immediate response .
