This planet of ours , it ai n’t gon na last eternally . And though who the heck knows what ’s going to materialise to the world that far off into the future ( or even after November 8th),Life Noggindecided to conduct a fiddling brain exercise about how we could convert a planet like Mars or Venus , or a moon like Europa , into a 2d dry land .
It all sounds so easy at first : make the atmosphere blockheaded by pump ammonia into Mars ( via ice - ample comets , smashed in from the outer solar system ) ; sum some plants to make the standard pressure warmer and standardized to Earth ; melt some polar caps for water supply — and boom , second Earth .
Of course , it ’s not that easy . That ’s why Earth is still the adept planet . Mars does n’t have a magnetosphere which means the atmosphere we just make on 2d Earth would be foray out from radiation syndrome and solar tip . It ’s an interesting opinion , though .
