Pennsylvania State Policeconfirmed Tuesday afternoonthat Steve Stephens , the Ohio man whoshot and killed74 - class - old Robert Godwin on Sunday and thenuploaded a picture of the slayingto Facebook , is dead . Stephens had been added to the FBI Most Wanted listing and after a countrywide manhunt , PSPD says officers , responding to a tip , found Stephens around 11 AM Tuesday in Erie , Pennsylvania . Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerbergaddressed the shootingon Tuesday during the F8 developers conference , promise Facebook will do well in preventing violent content from being upload to the site .
“ Our hearts go out to the family and admirer of Robert Godwin Sr . , ” Zuckerberg tell hearing .
Although Facebook draw the videos and suspended Stephens ’ account statement 23 minutes after they were first reported , Zuckerberg said Facebook could do better in quickly flagging and removing violent television .
“ We have a lot of work , and we will keep doing all we can to prevent tragedies like this from happen , ” he said .
