Cara Delevingne’sLos Angeles home, which was severely damaged in a massive fire on Friday, was an homage to her eccentric ideas and eclectic style.

The Los Angeles Fire Department confirmed to PEOPLE that the residence suffered a massive blaze that took 94 firefighters over 2 hours to extinguished and caused the roof of the residence to collapse.

Delevingne was in London when the fire occurred.

The 6,650-square-foot Studio, City, Calif., home was a highly personalized haven for the model and actress, featuring blue-chip art, gifts from fashion designers, rare memorabilia and more than a few one-of-a-kind customizations.

She showed it off in a 2021feature inArchitectural Digest, describing it in a video tour as a space where she can showcase all her “mad, crazy ideas.” She designed the home with architect Nicoló Bini and explains of her collaborator, “If I was Alice in Wonderland, he’d be the Mad Hatter.”

Some ofthe highlights of her tour, above, included two of the home’s most intimate spaces. The first is a padded pink passageway, through which you can crawl between rooms, that Delevingne dubbed the “vagina tunnel.”

The entrance is hidden between a paneled wall in a sitting room and in the clip, Delevingne emerges from a faux washing machine at the other end, proclaiming she’s “re-birthed and cleansed.”

“I come in here to think. I come in here to create," she explains.

Another headline-grabbing hidden space, Delevingne calls the “p—y palace.” The pink fabric-lined room behind another secret door contains a stripper pole, a swing and lots of fuzzy pillows.

“The meaning I have from this house is just never grow up," she tells the outlet. “Always just kind of maintain some kind of childlike innocence or joy or just the need for fun.”

While much of the home’s contents were likely damaged or destroyed in the fire, two very important residents were saved: Delevingne’s cats.

After initially posting a photo of her pets with a broken heart emoji when she seemingly thought they might have been lost, she shared an update Friday afternoon that they had both been rescued and were safe and sound.

The star took to social media to share her gratitude to those who responded to the emergency. “Thank you from the bottom of my heart to the firefighters and people that have showed up to help,” she wrote on her Instagram Story.

The blaze initially consumed one room in the back of the house and “developed into a deep-seated attic fire,” the LAFD said in a statement Friday.

“Crews confirmed all occupants were out of the home, and then pulled back into defensive mode due to the long duration of heavy fire exposing the structural members,” the statement continued.

The roof of the house collapsed, as firefighters worked to extinguish the flames with hoses from the exterior.

One unidentified occupant sustained minor smoke inhalation and one firefighter was transported from the home after falling from a ladder, the fire department confirmed. It is currently investigating the cause of the blaze.

A representative for Delevingne did not respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment Friday morning.
