But its latest preview really dives late into the eldritch polish clash of a Los Angeles filled with magical species , and it ’s really intriguing .

Set in a modern phantasy Los Angeles , Bright follows a beat officer ( Will Smith ) who on the spur of the moment find himself partner off with a rookie Orc copper ( Joel Edgerton ) , only to find the two uneasy partners thrust into a wild mankind of gang warfare and 1%-er elves when they track a subject that take an obscenely sinewy magic wand .

It ’s strong to state just how totally bizarre a blend this — it ’s kind of like a modern day - set Shadowrun unify with Bad Boys . And so far , it ’s candidly looking kind of cool .
