Basically No One in Russia Thought That Meteor Was a Meteor

Last calendar month , a giant meteorexploded over Russia . Ground zero was the Ural city of Chelyabinsk , where 1500 people were hurt and chiliad of building were damaged . About half the city ’s million hoi polloi saw the meteor , but most of themdidn’t jazz it was a meteoroid at all .

A late opinion poll from Moscow ’s Public Opinion Foundation found that most thought it was just regular ol’ Russia stuff . Forty percentage thought it was a fall planing machine . Eight percentage , a borked rocket launch . And six percent thought , oh this is just an explosion . Five guessed roquette flak , and another five think war was breaking out . How many guessed meteor ? Juts under 10 percentage . Oh and four pct had their Rubles on a UFO . But you ca n’t really find fault them .
