Space Habitat Adams , make and built by lego guru Hillel Cooperman , is so detailed that you may see the futurist life-time of space colonists through its tiny windows . There are automaton , giant reckoner screens , and even a geoengineering pretense .
Cooperman , whose oeuvre you may feel at Cooperman Brick Foundry , named his habitat after scifi writer Douglas Adams . I ’ll let Cooperman tell you what you ’re envision here :
Space Habitat Adams ( one of dozens in space also named in honor of Science Fiction authors ) is really jut a neighborhood in place . The bottom grade consists of commercial / retail units and station service and is refer with the medium blue emphasis colouration . Atop that degree are several levels of like residential units with the orange accent color . Each residential building block has bed ( of the bunk variety ) , a solid food replicator , and a desk with computing machine user interface . Chairs and personal maintenance utilities retract into the wall ( and are not usher 😉 . Atop the whole stack of residential modules are the Amandine Aurore Lucie Dupin dark-green accented module put up the command center field and the spaceport . The command marrow contains the mass of the official post personnel in their sand greenish uniform . The bid center features stack of staff at their workstation , a commandant in a raised command chair , and a rotating post where the crew can consider the departure on in a holographic representation of the surface of a nearby planet . It also overlooks the inside of the distance station . The spaceport contains mostly personal transportation vehicles that sit around vertically at eternal sleep and when being loaded with one mortal , but then make themselves horizontal for spaceflight . There ’s also a spacebus that can travel frontward or backwards ( drivers on each side ) Atop the spaceport and instruction center is the head start of the dome that cover the intact station . Two columns of module intersect all the others . On the left wing it ’s an facelift diaphysis with lift . On the right there ’s a set of public surface area including two restaurants , a sculpture museum ( each piece of modern art made by one of my kids ) , an internet cafe case position , and a performance area with a concert in progress by a very well known pop star in the Series 2 minifig residential area . Finally , in front of the stack of modules is the common ‘ outdoor ’ country featuring both agricultural and amateur distance . The agricultural / parking area platforms float above the more industrial surface of the guts of the distance post ( which furnish the artificial gravity ) . golem move around the station doing minor errands , repairs , and services for the residents .
That is some serious worldbuilding , and it looks awesome . I bed how it ’s built out of modular life / sour units that snap together , which is in fact how a distance habitat really might be built . I ’m quick to move in .
