Earlier this week , Panama City Beach , Florida was overwhelmed with a sweeping wave of fog that was not unlike a swarm tsunami . It grovel onto the beach and turn over right over buildings , giving off an almost supernatural aura .
Meteorologist Dan Satterfieldexplains how the cloud tsunami phenomenon works :
Cool air offshore was very nearly at the impregnation period , with a temperature near 20ºC and a dew point of about 19.5ºC. The air travel at this temperature can only entertain a certain amount of H2O vapour , and how much it can hold depends hard on the temperature . If you add together more water into the air , a cloud will mold , but you’re able to also get a swarm to form by cooling the breeze . throw the temperature , and it can no long go for as much piss vapor , so some of it will condense out and a cloud will take form .
